These remarkable speakers were specifically designed to bring you the world-famous sonic performance of Definitive’s free-standing speakers in easy-to-install built-in configurations. All models in Definitive’s Disappearing™ In-Wall series feature near-invisibility thanks to their small area, hidden flange design, and low profile micro-perf grilles. They are as easy to install as traditional flanged flush-mount speakers, and don’t require custom sheetrock/spackle skills to install and look practically invisible. The LCR 5.5LCR has been optimized for use as stereo Left/Right/Center front stage speakers while the matching DI 5.5BPS is a Bipolar technology speaker ideal for surround channel use. Together these models realize the dream of premium performance in a practically undetectable built-in home theater system. All models in the DI Series share the same accurate sonic signature so you can mix and match any combination of models to meet your exact application. For example, you can use DI 5.5LCR for L&R and center and a pair of DI 5.5R as in-ceiling surrounds and achieve excellent seamless performance.

Definitive's Disappearing In-Wall Speakers Just May be the "Holy Grail" of Built-in Speakers. You want great sound everywhere in your home, but you may not always have room for or want the visual intrusion of free-standing speakers. Built-in flushmount speakers seem to be the answer but in practice they don't exactly disappear in the room, in fact many "in-wall" speakers call attention to themselves and create friction between your decorator and your audiophile sensibilities. Worse yet, most built-in speakers fall short on the performance end as well. Definitive’s Disappearing™ In-Wall series speakers feature near-invisibility thanks to their small diameters, hidden flange design, and low profile micro-perf grilles. They are as easy to install as traditional flanged flush-mount speakers, and don’t require custom sheetrock/spackle skills to install yet they are practically invisible. The DI 6.5RS grille is a mere 8-5/16" (21.04 cm)square, about the same visible size as competitive 5-1/4" speakers. With Definitive's DI Series you get more sound per square inch of visible speaker.

The Reference Line Source II (RLS II) is an enclosed full range loudspeaker engineered for flush mount in-wall installation. It features a non-resonant sealed medite (a dense wood product) enclosure to deliver the tight, detailed bass and uncolored midrange of audiophile free-standing speakers in every installation. The performance of open back built-in speakers will vary depending on the nature of the wall/ceiling cavity behind the speaker. But Definitive Reference integrated enclosure speakers sound superb every time. Rotating dogleg clamps make the RLS II easy to install in either new or existing construction and provide secure, non-resonant mounting for ultimate audiophile performance free of vibrations and buzzes.
Use the RLS II as a main Left, Right, Center or Surround Loudspeaker in a “stealth” high performance home theater or multichannel music system. The grilles attach via powerful magnets, for simple, quick installation. A one-step paint process saves time compared to traditional flanged speakers.

VP45-series speakers deliver audiophile quality sound via carbon fiber cone woofers and silk dome tweeters. Visual Performance Medium speakers are available in three shapes (rectangular, square and round), and each shape is available in three different audio performance levels, so the designer and installer can select the shape that best suits the architectural space while providing the level of sound quality desired by the client. The VP65 is also available in a shallow depth model in rectangle and round shapes with 2 1/2" and 3 1/32" (64mm and 77mm) depths that allow installation in areas that will not accommodate conventional speakers.
